One year ago, on November 7, the music legend Leonard Cohen passed away at the age of 82 at his home. As was his wish, Cohen’s funeral was held in Montreal, the city he was born.

Canadian singer and songwriter, Leonard Cohen was universally recognized as one of the greatest poets and musicians of all time. His work inspired generations and influenced singers and songwriters all over the world.

A tribute concert to Cohen took place in Montreal in November 2017 at the Bell Center. The concert named Tower of Song has been put together by the Cohen family and featured many famous musicians, including Sting, Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello, Ron Sexsmith, Patrick Watson and others. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the concert to honor Cohen’s memory and made a brief appearance on stage with a tribute speech.

Montreal’s Museum of Contemporary Art (Musée d'artcontemporain (MAC) invites musician’s fans to visit their exhibition A Crack In Everything inspired by the world of Leonard Cohen. The exhibition will take place from November 9, 2017 to April 9, 2018.
